Welcome to the Toyota 4WD Club of Victoria

We welcome all 4WDers, not just Toyota drivers

The Toyota 4WD Club of Victoria was Incorporated in 1995. It started with a small group of likeminded enthusiasts and has steadily grown into a medium sized club.

The club is affiliated with 4WD Victoria (previously the Victorian Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs) and follows the Tread Lightly code of ethics

The club runs all kinds of events, ranging from social events, information nights, training days and weekend runs. We run driving trips for all skill levels, from novice to expert.

From The Presidents Desk

Hi to All.

Congratulations to Neil and Sharon Davey for winning the 2009 Presidents Cup.

Congratulations also to Stephan and Angela Scott for winning the Tail End Charlie Award.

The prizes were awarded at last month’s general meeting.

A pamphlet received from Victoria Police with my last vehicle registration has some good tips for protecting the contents of your vehicle. These include:

  • Remove your GPS from display along with the mounting unit and suction pads, and ensure suction cup marks are cleaned with a cloth.
  • Remove all other valuables from the vehicle. Do not leave any coins in view.
  • Ensure your vehicle is locked. eg windows and doors.
  • Covering items of property could encourage an inquisitive thief to steal them.
  • Mark your property with the letter ‘V’ for Victoria followed by your drivers licence number. This helps police to return located property.

Next month (July) we will be holding our AGM. This is the occasion where we elect by popular acclaim, those club members who are prepared to do their little bit in the running of our Club for the next year. A brief description of the jobs was published in the last TUIT. There will also be further info in this months’ TUIT. There will be a number of positions made vacant this year, so there will be room for YOU. Remember, the Club can only run if we have a properly filled Committee. So please do a little bit of soul searching and fill out a nomination form for yourself and help us to continue this great Club. The duties are not difficult, and don’t take up much time, so give it a go.

Cheers for now from:
